Tangible actions to drive health & wellbeing

Tangible actions to drive health & wellbeing

James Lifton · Mar 3, 2025 ·

HAN’s president and founder, David Zuckerman, shared his perspective on how health systems can be part of the long-term solution to community disinvestment and economic insecurity through leveraging their place-based economic power.

From The Health System CXO podcast:

One of the things that we’ve talked about a lot on this podcast is really putting concepts focused on equity in plain language and thinking about what are some of the tangible concrete investments that health systems can make that really drive health and wellbeing in the communities that they serve. Even things like [commercial] laundry, like you said, it may be something that a finance executive or folks who are sitting in operations, those may not be things that they’ve necessarily considered but it can have such a tremendous impact in terms of what you’re doing in partnership with the communities that you serve.
