HAN member health systems are critical economic engines and mission driven organizations inextricably linked to the longterm wellbeing of those we serve. As such, we as healthcare leaders are uniquely positioned to play an active role in building equitable and sustainable local economies that allow for healthy and thriving individuals, families, and communities.
Collectively, we seek to more intentionally leverage our assets to achieve health equity by improving economic vitality and addressing other social determinants of health. In doing so, we will further catalyze partners across our communities, cities, and sectors to address the root causes of economic and racial inequities that negatively impact individual, family and community health and wellbeing. Together, we will build a movement that seeks to help all achieve prosperity, thrive and be healthy, especially those most impacted by a legacy of disinvestment and discrimination.
