PROGRAM MANAGER, HIGHER EDUCATION ENGAGEMENT
As the program manager for higher education engagement, Julia Anderson provides leadership and guidance for how to increase the capacity of higher education institutions to more equitably align their assets with local communities.
Julia leads the Anchor Learning Network, a partnership with the Coalition for Urban Serving and Metropolitan Universities, that brings together over 30 colleges and universities committed to advancing inclusive economic development through the anchor mission.
Prior to taking on this role, Julia worked in various capacities across academic affairs, student affairs, and research in higher education, with a particular focus on diversity and inclusion. Julia earned a master of arts in higher education administration from the University of Maryland and also holds a B.A. in sociology with minors in education and feminist studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
