HAN’s fall convening was held in October and we discussed opportunities for anchors to partner with cities and states to form meaningful solutions to meet the needs of the Americans experiencing economic insecurity daily within the context of the evolution of the racial equity frame as a guiding principle. We also heard from HAN member CFOs on the role of impact investing in improving community health and from HAN member trustees on stewarding the anchor mission.
There were amazing presentations on People strategies, inclusive local hiring & the anchor mission from HAN member systems. In addition, the first cohort from HAN’s REAL (racial and economic equity awareness and leadership) series shared their learnings around competencies for social change leadership.
