Partnering with suppliers to create family-supporting jobs

Partnering with suppliers to create family-supporting jobs

bpham · Jun 22, 2022 ·

HAN member Intermountain Healthcare and BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), a leading global medical technology company, announced a collaboration on a new program to help create jobs in Salt Lake City that provide a living wage, retirement options, comprehensive health benefits, and career development. This collaboration between Intermountain and BD stems from HAN’s Impact Purchasing Commitment, as Intermountain looks to work with their direct suppliers to ensure that they too are paying a living wage and creating quality jobs.

From the article:

“By collaborating with our strategic supplier partners, Intermountain Healthcare can help extend our connection to the community beyond the walls of our facilities,” says Rob Allen, COO  of Intermountain Healthcare. “BD exemplifies the type of supplier that Intermountain strives to attract, both with the essential products they provide, but also through their willingness and commitment to help improve our collective community.”
