SENIOR MANAGER, PLACE-BASED INVESTING AND POLICY INITIATIVES
Kate Gallagher joined the Healthcare Anchor Network as a Project Manager of Place-Based Investing and Policy Initiatives in 2023. In this capacity, she collaborates with HAN members across the country to promote and advance implementation of anchor mission principles. Her work focuses on leveraging impact investing and policy advocacy to address root causes of health disparities and advance health equity in communities.
Prior to joining HAN, Kate worked as an economic development practitioner in San Diego County, where she led projects and programs designed to address economic inequities in the region. She also worked as a research assistant in academia, synthesizing evidence on various health equity topics. Kate holds a Master’s degree in Public Health Policy from Tulane University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management Economics from University of California, Santa Cruz.
