HAN’s 5th annual Policy Day was held on Capitol Hill and focused on affordable housing and workforce development. We were joined by a bipartisan group of congressional members who spoke about the importance of affordable and healthy housing and workforce programs for unemployed and underemployed individuals.
Liz Osborn with Enterprise Community Partners, spoke about the need and impact of the HOME Investment Partnerships Program and the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, while Jeff Connor-Naylor with Business Leaders United, discussed the Health Profession Opportunity Grant (HPOG) and the JOBS Act. HAN members will continue to advocate for these vital programs throughout the Congressional session.
