Kaiser Permanente: Since 2020, LISC and its affiliate Broadstreet have deployed $23.5 million in grants and support from Kaiser Permanente and leveraged an additional $48.9 million in funding. These funds have advanced inclusive economic development activities in more than a dozen cities such as access to good jobs, wealth building, and supporting locally-owned businesses. Examples include:
- Increasing the financial stability of residents of Sweet Auburn, an Atlanta neighborhood
- A creative business incubator in Oakland, CA
- Preventing small business displacement through equitable economic development in Washington, D.C.
- Increasing residents’ access to employment opportunities and asset building in Everett, WA
