Healthcare Anchor Network will convene Policy Day 2026 on April 22, bringing hospital and health system leaders together to engage directly with federal policymakers on solutions that strengthen local economies and improve community health. Policy Day 2026 will take place from 9:30–11:00 a.m. ET, both in person at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C., and online. The morning will feature a Policy Briefing focused on federal priorities related to housing, workforce development, and health. Following the briefing, some HAN member systems will participate in congressional meetings from 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. ET.
Policy Day is designed to help health systems advance bipartisan, place-based policy solutions that address health-related social needs. Participants will explore strategies to expand affordable housing, strengthen skills training and registered apprenticeships, and protect essential health and human services programs that communities rely on. Attendees can expect insights from national experts and members of Congress on the federal budget and legislative outlook, practical discussion of policy tools such as the HOME program and registered apprenticeships, and examples of how health systems are leading investments in housing and workforce development as part of their anchor mission strategies.
Policy Day is open exclusively to HAN members and their partner organizations. Registration is available for both in-person attendance in Washington, D.C., and virtual participation.
