HAN is thrilled to be able to provide grant funding and technical assistance to support seven of its members over a 2-year period to implement impact workforce strategies, due the generous support of the Ballmer Group. The WorkAdvance model is a nationally recognized, research-validated, results-driven workforce development approach that creates intentional career pathways for residents of economically under-served communities to enter quality jobs and build careers within health systems. Each grantee will partner with a local place-based or community organization to identify, prepare, and place participants in roles ranging from Certified Nursing Assistant to Sterile Processing Technician to Medical Assistant.

We are currently accepting applications for a second HAN cohort which we aim to launch in early 2027. We look forward to welcoming up to five additional health systems to receive funding and technical assistance.
