Applications are open for the second cohort of the HAN and Undue Medical Debt Mind the Gap: Connecting Community Benefit and Patient Billing! Program participants will bring together revenue cycle, community benefit, and population health leaders to forge new connections, better understand roles and data, and develop shared strategies and language to align billing and community benefit efforts—helping reduce patients’ financial burdens and avoid medical debt.
RyLee Curtis, Senior Director, Community Collaborations, University of Utah Health, and a member of the first cohort shared:
“Participating in the cohort helped us strengthen relationships across our Community Collaboration and Financial Assistance teams. It also helped senior leaders better understand how patient experience, community collaboration, and financial assistance are deeply connected.
As a result, we identified opportunities to learn directly from community experience, improve the financial assistance application and billing processes, and include Patient Experience representation on a Revenue Cycle hiring committee for the first time.”
Application/statement of interest is due by October 29, 2026.
